Part 3: THE METEOR ROCK


‘How do we get a meteor rock?’ ‘it’s simple. Go to the duerwag cavern, search it, and you’ll find it in no time.’ Answered Ferd. ‘Now?’ asked Opal. ‘Yes, now.’ Said Ferd. ‘I don’t know where is the cave, though.’ ‘I know!’ said Kina. ‘So, where is it?’ ‘My uncle work there.’ ‘Oh, now, where to go, Kina?’ ‘south east.’ ‘Ok, let’s go!’ he shouted. ‘Instead of walking, why don’t we…’ ‘FLY? You wanted us to be seen by the kingdom’s men?’ ‘Of course not, silly!’ ‘then let’s just walk!’ ‘oh, okay.’ Opal, Kina, Graben and Ferd walking deeper to the woods. It’s dark in the woods, because of that tall trees. And then, suddenly, poachers attack them. ‘Give us your money, or I’ll kill you all!’ said the leader of the poacher. ‘Try me!’ said Opal. Opal fight ten man at once. The poachers attack first. ‘All of you, hide behind the trees!’ said Opal to his friends. They do what Opal tells to do. And then Opal spins in high speed. Sharp papers came out in high speed, hitting all of the poachers. When Kina and friends came out from their hiding place, they see the poacher’s corpses. Covered with blood. Kina’s face became white. ‘I call it, spin attack!’ said Opal. They continued walking like the corpses is just like a falling leaf. They don’t care about the corpses. They just care about their journey. They walk, until they see horses drinking water from the river Ghuldaver. ‘Let’s use the horses!’ said Kina. ‘Yeah, I’m exhausted.’ Said Opal. From there, they ride a horse.

One week later
Mount Brasdgem

‘Welcome to Mount Brasdgem.’ Said Ferd. ‘The most beautiful mountain in Verasder.’ The most beautiful. Green grass, beautiful view, tall trees, with sweet fruits. Ghuldaver River flowing calmly. Animals live here freely. No cages. Many deer’s live here, eating the green grass. ‘It looks like heaven up here!’ said Kina. ‘Let’s make a camp!’ said Opal excited. ‘OK!’ said the whole company. And then, Opal made a tent for one person. So he built four tents from papers. When it’s finished, they take a sleep. In the night, they were attacked by giant bears. They woke up. ‘I’ll take care of him.’ Said Opal. ‘No, let me do it. You’ve protected me once, now I’m going to return the favor.’ said Ferd. There are something different from him, he said in his mind. The eyes! It looked like cat’s eye! He thought. And then, Ferd says something, but in different way. ‘Deagh Ehnta Vrurn!’ he shouted. And suddenly, the bears on fire. The bears run away. ‘How did you that?’ Opal said. ‘Magic.’ Said Ferd, back to his normal eye. ‘Why is your eyes…’ ‘Transform?’ ‘Exactly! Why?’ ‘If someone use magic, automatically it’s eyes will transform.’ ‘Where did you learn magic?’ ‘On someone named Pramses Nevullea. I used to call her Amses.’ ‘Her?’ ‘Yes, she’s a woman.’ ‘I wanted to meet her.’ ‘Oh, sure!’ ‘When you say that spell, that have meanings, right?’ ‘Yes. Aksiver batagi xelome means, burn that bear.’ ‘Cool!’ said Opal. Meanwhile, in Neville Calomel’s house, he’s sitting on the 500 kilograms of twenty-four karat gold. Ha haven’t spent it one bit! ‘My revenge is com… wait. It’s not complete. I’m not just wanted the gold, I wanted the throne!’ so he sets up a plan to kill King Artemis, his beloved brother. He’s going to kill him from the back, when he’s in his room. ‘That’s a good plan. Simple, but effective.’ He said. And then, an evil laugh came out from his mouth.

Neville calomel’s house
South brothwell village

‘Time to work!’ said Neville. He puts his tight black clothes and wear his black mask with eye-holes. Now, he looked like a ninja. ‘Time to kill Artemis!!! Ha… ha…ha…!!!’ he shouted an laughed. He uses his horse to go to King’s castle.

North brothwell village

He hides in the bushes. And then, he saw a guardian came out from the castle, whistling. And without a sound, he killed the guardian from the back. ‘Practicing,’ he said. He took the guardian’s armor and wears it. And then he enters the castle. Several minutes later, he arrived at the room. And luckily for him, the king’s inside. He sneaks without a sound. And then, he puts his knife on the king’s neck. ‘Who are you?’ said the king, scared. ‘you don’t need to know.’ ‘Neville?’ And then, Neville cut his head off. Now, the king is just a headless man. Blood flowing on the corpse’s body. And then the corpse’s going down. ‘THE THRONE IS MINE!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!’ said Neville loudly. Before he left the castle, he’s going to said something to convince that…

‘King Artemis was murdered by a vicious man, and that is Jack Ashwinder!’ he said. The peoples were shocked. ‘I didn’t do such a thing!’ said jack. ‘And because the death of the king and the missing princess, I now declare that I am your KING!’ said Neville loudly. He wears his crown. ‘Now, seize him and take him to prison!! 10 YEARS!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!’ Neville shouted. The peoples are staring at Jack. And then they grabbed his hands and feet. ‘Release me idiots! I’m not guilty! The new king is a LIAR!!!’ his voice’s fading. Neville enters Artemis’s castle, or now, Neville’s castle. He sits on the king’s chair. ‘I remembered old times,’ said Neville. It started twelve years ago. Neville and Jack were good friends. Very good friends. They do something always together. Until that moment. Neville became a rich guy somehow, and he forgot about Jack, his old friend. Because he became rich, he became selfish to the peoples. Jack wanted to defend the peoples. ‘You changed a lot when you became rich, Neville. Especially how you treat the poor people.’ ‘the poor must be vanished from Verasder! And you are. You must be vanished!’ ‘if you wanted to vanish me, you have to fight me first.’ Jack yields his sword. His sword shines blue. ‘of course.’ Said Neville, yielding his sword. His sword shines black. A great fight begins. It’s a long fight. And Neville lost. Neville puts his revenge on Jack. And now the revenge is complete. ‘Now, who’s lost now huh!’ he said. Now, he’s going to run his plan. Rule other country. He won’t stop until he rules the world. He’s going to tell the soldiers tomorrow.

‘Soldiers, I wanted to tell something. I wanted our village became a country. A big country. We have to rule another country!!!’ he shouted. The soldiers agreed with saying “ya”, in a loud sound. ‘We started from Asxewart!’ Neville said. His eye become red because the shine of the red sun.

‘Good morning everyone!’ Opal said. ‘so what’s for breakfast?’ ‘It’s Chicken eggs and Deer’s meat.’ ‘yummy!’ he eats his food so fast, about eight minutes. After Opal done eating, Ferd says something. ‘Do you want to learn magic?’ ‘Of course! Right Kina?’ ‘Yes, let’s go!’ ‘I don’t mind at all.’ They all said. ‘But I only choose one of you three to be my student. Remember, that this is not a game. This is a competition to be my student.’ ‘You only choose one of us?! It’s not fair!’ Opal answered. ‘If I choose all of you, I’ll be dizzy for 3 years!’ ‘So you train us in one year?! That’s too long!’ ‘Do you wanted to learn magic or not?’ ‘Of course. Sorry for my attitude.’ ‘Huh, you must control your temper, or you’ll never learn magic!’ Ferd shouted. We will start our training tomorrow, morning.’ ‘Alright!’ they said that word in the same time. They finished eating about 11.30. Opal takes some nap, and the same as the rest. But suddenly, Ferd woke up with sweat on his clothes. ‘Another bad dream.’ He said. He walked to Ghuldaver River. ‘I wanted something to eat.’ He said. ‘I’m going to fishing, with magic.’ He said again. He arrived at the river’s side. ‘Fshier Ehnta Waesr lallup!’ he shouted. And suddenly all the fish that swimming nearby was flying, like pulled with a fishing line. ‘Wha… how did you do that?’ Opal screamed. ‘That’s one of my favorite spell, and the name is the fishing spell. I named it myself.’ ‘Yeah, very funny. Please, teach me to do that!’ ‘of course! Tomorrow.’ ‘Now!’ ‘I’ve promised to all of you that I will train all of you tomorrow. I don’t wanted to break my promise.’ ‘Huh.’ ‘Now c’mon. let’s fry all this fish.’ ‘OK. I’m a little bit hungry.’ ‘So, c’mon! let’s eat!’

Opal Ashwinder part 4

He surprised looking at the new-look Kina. ‘You changed a lot, Kina. You are more… well more. By the way, what are you doing here?’ ‘I’m going to help you, of course.’ ‘But how do you know I was here?’ ‘I saw your giant dragon flying above the woods, so I came here to meet you. And now I am.’ ‘how do you know it’s my dragon?’ ‘In the bar, I disguised as a caped man. I saw you shooting knife-like paper to break the bottles, and I saw you fighting my butler, Graben Freist.’ ‘That’s your butler? Oh, I’m sorry that I killed your butler.’ ‘Hey, a butler is hard to kill you know.’ Then there’s a sound beyond the woods. Kina is hiding behind Opal. ‘C’mon! I’m not afraid!’ Opal shouted. ‘Mistress Kina? Is that you?’ the sound came from the thing. ‘Graben? Is that you?’ said Kina. And then, a big man came out. ‘Mistress Kina! I’m glad to found you!’ said Graben. ‘Hey, you’re that guy in the bar that I killed!’ ‘A butler is hard to kill you know.’ Answered Graben. He’s different between in the bar and now. Now he’s using black clothes. All black. Except the hair. And the skin. The hair is a little white because the age. And the skin is white. ‘I thought you were bad.’ He chuckles then. Graben laughs a little. ‘Now, back to the problem. Brothwell village is under attack because of me. We must fight it. But the three of us cannot defeat them alone. There are thousands of them. We needed allies. Many other magical things. But where?’ he confused. ‘I know where to go.’ Someone or something answered. ‘Who’s there?’ ‘Don’t worry, I’m a dwarf. My name is Flawq Ferdas. You can call me Ferd.’ ‘Ferd… where are you?’ ‘Below you!’ Opal jumped, surprised. Opal jumped back. From Opal standing before, a head came out. And then the head jumped. After he landed, Opal glad because seeing a dwarf that can show the way out. Ferd is short, about one meter, have a beard, and fat. ‘We should go to Dasr Leonnyl. Many magical thing lives there. Me too.’ ‘Okay, let’s go!’ ‘But there’s a price.’ ‘Okay, what is it?’ ‘A meteor rock.’ ‘METEOR ROCK?’

Part 2: THE KINGDOM’S ATTACK


Pithec bar, west brothwell village

Opal grew into a handsome boy. He’s kind, always wanted to help others. He has black-violet hair, with blue eyes, it’s the perfect match. It makes him so handsome. ‘Happy birthday Opal, happy birthday Opal, happy birthday dear Opal, happy birthday to you!’ Opal’s parent’s sang. ‘oh, thank you mom and dad!’ he hugged them very tight. ‘Here’s your cake,’ his mom opened a box that contains a chocolate cake, Opal’s favorite cake. ‘and this is your presents.’ His mom continued. ‘Thank you!’ said Opal. He opened the littlest present, because he’s curious. He surprised, because what’s inside is a ring. A blue diamond ring and that’s rare and very expensive. ‘Who is this from?’ he asked. ‘It’s from Kina. Kina Calomel, remember?’ ‘Oh, I remember her. She’s the king’s daughter, and also my best friend.’ ‘You should thank to her. She’s very kind.’ ‘I will, Mom.’ And then, his father’s turn to speak. ‘Opal, we need to tell you something. Something important.’ ‘What is it, Dad?’ ‘When you’re still a baby, I found you in the woods of Artol. And strangely, you were covered by paper shaped like an armor, and guarded by two paper wolves. And I realize that you are a mutant. And that arm shield you wear, it’s not just hand shield, it’s an arm shield that can minimize your power to zero percent, to help you to be look like a normal person. But, it only covers you power until your age is eleven. And you are. So the arm shield are going to leave your arm very soon.’ And after that, the arm shield removes by itself. ‘See? I told you.’ Said his father. ‘maybe I am a mutant! Can I control papers?’ ‘Yes, you can. But concentrate. Can you see that bottles? Aim your hand and concentrate.’ He aim his hand, concentrate, and then a sharp paper came out from his hand. A very sharp paper. And suddenly, the paper fly by itself and hit the bottles. The bottles crush and broke. ‘What the… you have to pay for that!’ said a very big and strong-like man. ‘Don’t worry. I’ll protect you.’ A little thing became a great fight. And then, Opal aim his hand to him. But the papers are not like last time. It is bigger, sharper and many. It shoots like a machine gun. And the papers hit the man’s chest. Blood flowing on his body. And then he died. ‘You can control it fast, young boy.’ His father said. And after that, there’s a sound outside. Horses tap. And who’s riding it, is the nightmare. ‘Run, Opal, RUN!’ his father shouted. ‘but how about you all?’ ‘we’ll be safe. Now, GO!’ Opal ran. ‘Why am I running? I can make a dragon to ride!’ he concentrated, and suddenly, papers coming out from his hands, forming a three dimensional dragon. With a saddle, of course. He ride it, and he fly to the sky. He stare at the woods of Artol. That’s a safe place to hide, he said in his mind. When he fly, archers shooting at him. He get shot many times, so the dragon cannot fly anymore. Oh, NO! I’m going to crash! In his mind. He crashed on the woods. When he land, the dragon break into pieces of paper, and the paper rushed back to his hand. He walks deeper to the woods. The deeper, the better hiding place. He walks backside because he is curious to his village’s destiny when he left. He walk deeper, and then he crashed a person. He screamed very loud. ‘shih! You don’t want the kingdom’s army found you, right? So be quiet!’ she said. ‘You be careful… KINA?’

Artemis’s castle, north brothwell village

‘What are you doing here? Get out from here! Now!’ said guardian number one. ‘Yeah, get out from here or we release our army just to torture and cage you.’ Said guardian number two. ‘Wait. I am the most trusted man from the king’s eye and heart. I wanted to see my big brother, King Artemis Calomel.’ ‘Oh yeah? Do you think I can be fooled by a villager? I don’t think so. If you’re the king’s little brother, you must have the same family name. Now, what’s your name?’ ‘Why, my name is Neville Calomel, of course.’ ‘Oh, I know that’s a fake…‘ ‘What is going on down there?’ An echoing voice comes from inside the castle. A tapping voice comes closer and closer. And then the king arrived. ‘What is going on here?’ asked the king. ‘Forgive me your highness, but this man pretending that he is your little brother, Neville Calomel.’ Explains the guardian. The king looked at Neville’s face. And then the king realized that he is Neville Calomel. ‘Neville!’ said the king. ‘Artemis!’ Neville answered. ‘It’s a long time I didn’t see you. Look at you! Now you have a beard!’ the king shocked. ‘Look at yourself, old brother. You’ve become a very kind king! And you’ve grown a beard too! We look like the same, aren’t we, guardians?’ asked Neville. ‘Huh, what? Oh yes, you all look like twins.’ Said guardian number one. ‘You don’t want us to be executed, right?’ asked the guardian number two. ‘Don’t worry, because I will.’ Said Artemis. And then the guardian’s face turned into weird. And then the king laughed. ‘What’s so funny, your majesty?’ asked guardian number one. ‘You! Did you think I’m serious? Of course not! You’re new in here! I’m not going to execute you! But I’ll give you a second chance. If you do that again, I’ll execute you.’ Said the king. ‘Oh, bless your heart, your majesty!’ ‘Yes, thank you my lord!’ they said. ‘Yes, you’re welcome.’ The king answered. And then the guardians rushed inside the castle. ‘Man, I’ve missed you so much!’ ‘Yeah, me too. Now back to the topic. We must sort it as a very secret message. We must talk it inside the castle. Oh yeah, have you got any wife?’ ‘Yes, I have. Her name is Dianne Gregory, now she is Dianne Calomel. I have one daughter too. She’s born five days ago. I named her Kina Calomel. Good name huh?’ ‘Yes, a very good name.’ ‘Now, let’s go inside my humble castle. Hey, that rhymes!’ said the king. Inside the castle, Neville watched the walls closely. There are painting, war armors, and many expensive things. The wall is full by paintings of the ancestors. ‘It must be good to be a king. And, you must be rich, too.’ Said Neville. The king stopped walking. ‘Oh, I get it.’ ‘you want me to lend some of my money to you right?’ asked the king. ‘Well, my business is a bit down, so…’ ‘Yeah, yeah, I know. I’ll give you money as much as you want.’ ‘Oh, thank you!’ When they arrived at the throne room, Neville explained the bad news. ‘Brother, I have a bad news. There was a mutant baby in the south of the village. It’s in the Ashwinder’s house, my brother.’ ‘What! A mutant baby is in the village? We must find him and kill him!!!’ ‘But when, brother, when?’ ‘we’ll kill him. If he is eleven years old. Let’s see how he likes it to be killed and dead!’ said the king. ‘And my money, big brother?’ ‘How many kilograms of twenty-four karat gold do you want?’ asked the king. ‘I want five hundred kilograms of twenty-four karat gold!’ ‘Very well then. Waiter! Send five hundred kilograms of twenty-four karat gold to his house! Immediately!’ ‘Y…yes, y… y… your ma… majesty! Opal Ashwinder is sleeping very calm. He is holding a teddy bear. His face is so cute that can’t make you resist holding him all the time. Opal’s parents discussing about Opal’s future. Because the discussion takes a long time, they didn’t realize the time. ‘Holy crap! It’s midnight! You must take a rest, dear.’ ‘you too, honey.’ Belinda answered. They slept very calm, because he don’t know that eleven years later, a nightmare is going to happen in Opal Ashwinder’s life.

Opal Ashwinder part 1

In the world, there are two kinds of humans. Normal humans and mutants. Opal Ashwinder is one of the mutants that can change the history and maybe, the world.



Part 1: THE HISTORY

‘More ammo!’ said Commander Serzan. There was a war between two worlds. The human world and the mutant world. The mutants were commanded by Commander Julius Serzan. They were using wood catapults, spears, mutant powers and of course, magic. It was not only mutants, there was also fairies, elves, dwarfs, trolls, giants, goblins, demons and living things that contain life and magic. ‘Attack men! Don’t let me down, boys!’ said Commander Diggums. He was the commander of the human army. It was not just the army men, untrained people fight too. But there was something different about the humans. Unlike the humans, mutant’s commander fights too. Serzan was the strongest one that time in the mutant world. He was chosen to be the Llyon. The Llyon is a man that was chosen by the spirits. He got the power to control the Llyon dimension. When he controls it, he became more powerful. And the special thing is, he become immortal. He can’t be killed when he’s in the Llyon dimension. But unfortunately, Serzan was killed when he was not in the Llyon dimension, and the mutant army was useless without the Llyon. So, the humans win. Mutants were going down. They think the mutants were extinct. But they were wrong. Very wrong. A mutant baby was left in the woods of Artol. And a human, named Jack Ashwinder find him and decided to bring him home and take care of him. So he and his wife, Belinda Ashwinder named him Opal Ashwinder. They take care of him with every love they got. One day, in their home, Opal was missing. The only clue founded is a phoenix feather. And then nothing else founded. She has missing for 2 months. Until now. ‘I found it!’ said Jack. ‘Where did you found it, Jack?’ said Belinda happily. ‘I found it in the woods of Artol. And strangely, he was covered by millions of paper. And paper wolves too. We must keep it as a secret, Belinda. I am 95 percent sure that he is a mutant.’ ‘Mutant? I think mutants extinct! Everyone thinks that mutants extinct.’ ‘You’re wrong. Everyone is wrong. There are mutants in this world.’ ‘Mutants? You think mutants are more than one?’ ‘I think there is more than one. Not ten, not a hundred and not even a thousand. Many mutants live in this world. Not only mutants live in this world. Elves, dwarfs, trolls, giants, goblins, sprites, centaurs, pixies, demons, sorcerers and living things that contain live and magic.’ ‘Don’t worry, Jack. We will protect the mutants from humans even us.’ ‘Yes dear. From now we must take care and protect Opal, and other mutants. Protect opal from the humans. We must train him to be a normal human.’ ‘To look like a human.’ ‘Yes. We must watch him every time. Anywhere.’ ‘But how do we control the power?’ ‘Good question.’ Jack rushed to his room. He took something like an arm cover that has a fire painting on it. ‘This arm cover can minimize his power to 100 percent alias he can’t use his power until he is eleven years old.’ ‘But it’s too big, Jack.’ ‘Watch this.’ The arm cover squeeze to Opal’s right hand. ‘It can adjust to the user’s hand size.’ ‘Where did you get that?’ ‘My grandfather is a mutant, but his wife is not. So my mother was born. She is not a mutant. My mother married my father. He’s not a mutant too. So the bracelet handed from my grandfather to my father and my father hand it over to me. It’s a tradition.’ ‘You haven’t told me that before.’ ‘I don’t want you to be worried about me.’ ‘This son is a gift from the gods you know.’ ‘Yes I know. That’s why we must protect him from the people. We must tell him sooner or later that he is a founded baby. Not a born baby.’ ‘But don’t tell him until he’s eleven years old.’ They think there is no one outside or inside, but they don’t realize that some is watching him all the time. He is Neville Calomel, a rich, selfish and always having fun with money. ‘Oh, I’ll tell that, to King Artemis. And after that, I will get more money! Oh yes, money, money, and money.’ And then he called his fastest horse and rushed to the city. He rushed very fast, but he slowed down when he reached the village. There are hundreds of people lived there. He almost hit an old woman, a baker and a librarian. ‘Move it you fool!’ said Neville. His accent is bad, if you know what I mean. ‘C’mon, faster, faster!’ said Neville. Why did he rush? First, he wanted to tell King Artemis that there is a mutant in this country. Second, he wanted to see his old brother. Yes, King Artemis is Neville’s older brother. So it’s a family reunion too. It took one and a half hours. If he use a donkey. But if he uses a horse, it took about forty-five minutes. And when he arrived to the castle, the Ashwinder’s family will be not peaceful anymore.
